After her divorce, Jiang Ming Xue lives with her child. She meets Qi Yi, a graduate student from Jiangzhe University who is working part-time at the Butterfly Bar. Mistaking him for someone she can financially support, she instead hires him as a tutor for her son, Fu Heng. As they spend time together, Qi Yi shows interest in Jiang Ming Xue. She initially resists, but under pressure from ongoing entanglements with her ex-husband Fu Yan Zhou and her family’s attempts to push her into marrying wealthy businessman Lei Teng, she enters into a flash marriage with Qi Yi to deal with the situation. After marriage, Qi Yi conceals his wealthy background and quietly helps Jiang Ming Xue resolve workplace schemes and family difficulties. Jiang Ming Xue gradually develops feelings for him. After the two confess their true feelings, they face new challenges, including opposition from the Qi family and interference from Fu Yan Zhou.
